Sarah Courtright, Marketing Manager for Duperon Corporation, has been recognized as a young professional dedicated to the advancement of the water industry. Water & Wastes Digest recently published a list of 16 young professionals who show promise and commitment to growing expertise in the field, including Courtright.
Courtright, a former resident of Saginaw, Michigan, who now lives and works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has spent the last 14 years devoted to water quality. As a Regional Sales Manager for Duperon Corporation, she traveled throughout the United States and internationally to speak with engineers and municipalities about the importance of preliminary screening in the wastewater treatment process. Her work in the field led to a passion for clean water and travel for water missionary work in South Africa and Ecuador.
"I am thrilled that Water & Wastes Digest has chosen to highlight the young professionals in our field," said Courtright. "It's an honor to be among them. I am in awe of the energy and passion of the next wave of young professionals, and inspired by the wisdom and expertise of my mentors. The water industry is such an important sector to life as we know it – and I truly believe it's in great shape thanks to all the committed professionals involved. It's a pleasure to work with so much talent and in such a rewarding field," she concluded.
Courtright is a 2005 graduate of Central Michigan University, where she studied International Business and Marketing. She is involved with several programs and committees within the Water Environment Federation (WEF), a not-for-profit technical and educational organization of 33,000 individual members and 75 affiliated Member Associations representing water quality professionals around the world. As a global water sector leader, WEF's mission is to connect water professionals; enrich the expertise of water professionals; increase the awareness of the impact and value of water; and provide a platform for water sector innovation.
