Lorene Bruns, Regional Sales Manager for Duperon Corporation, has been honored by Water for People with the Kenneth J. Miller Award in recognition of her outstanding volunteer work to forward the mission of Water for People. The non-profit organization promotes the development of high-quality drinking water and sanitation services accessible to all and sustained by strong communities, businesses, and governments.
Bruns has spent more than 10 years in the water and wastewater industry; as Regional Sales Manager, she currently works with a distribution network of more than 70 outside representatives. The industry connections she has formed throughout her career have contributed to her passion for clean water and activism in the cause – leading to her involvement with Water for People.
She is an active member of the Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA), currently serving as the Co-Chair of the Infrastructure Funding Seminar and Water for People committees. In the past, she has served as the Chair of the MWEA Joint Expo. She also works in conjunction with the Water Environment Federation (WEF).
"It is an honor to be a recipient of the Kenneth J. Miller Award, and to be recognized by Water for People and my colleagues in the water and wastewater industry," Bruns shared. "There will be no solution to poverty without access to clean water and sanitation – for everyone, forever."
