Saginaw, MI – On February 28, 2012, Duperon Corporation will join forces with Dow Chemical, Covenant Healthcare, Consumers Energy, and Nexteer to make a difference for the children of mid-Michigan. The Saginaw Spirit Education Game Day event will reach approximately 4,500 school-aged children with educational experiments and experiences designed to engage attendees in the topics of clean water, personal health and fitness, and chemistry, among others. The day will be topped with an OHL hockey game featuring Saginaw’s own Spirit team playing against the Plymouth Whalers.
“The Duperon team is excited and honored to be part of Spirit Education Game Day, and to have such fantastic partners. Kae Pankow, the Director of Corporate and Group Sales for the Saginaw Spirit, does an excellent job of organizing the nearly 5,000 school kids who attend from around mid-Michigan,” relayed Vicki Popp, Marketing Project Manager for Duperon Corporation. “The exhibits provided by the sponsors give the kids a chance to see that our local companies care about the environment.”
For the second year, Duperon Corporation will provide students with the opportunity to explore experiences – and career paths – they may not have previously considered. “We’re looking forward to showing them the opportunities that exist in the world of water,” Popp finished.
