Duperon Corporation was established 30 years ago, giving an official home to the screening technologies created by founder Terry Duperon. Today, despite its growth and expanded product lines, Duperon Corporation still operates under the same philosophy as the first day: "Two parts is one part too many." The simplicity driving this approach to product development still guides Duperon design, leading to preliminary liquids/solids separation technologies that lead the market in ease of maintenance and cost of ownership. Today, the Duperon® FlexRake® operates in more than 1000 installations across North America and internationally.
Duperon Corporation, operating from Saginaw, Michigan since 1985, has expanded its product line to include liquids/solids separation technologies for coarse, fine, and perforated screening, as well as associated technologies such as the Duperon® Washer Compactor and the Duperon® Auger Conveyor.
Duperon Corporation was founded on the philosophy of simple problem-solving. "I saw a problem that needed to be fixed," relates founder and Chairman of the Board, Terry Duperon. "I was making pumps then, and they would get clogged with the debris that was in the channel. So I put my waders on to figure out what I could do to solve it."
His solution, the Self-Cleaning Trashrack, earned him the company's first patent and launched Duperon Corporation. His invention of FlexLink™ technology and the Duperon® FlexRake® in 1995 allowed the company to being work in the wastewater industry.
"We began as a stormwater company," said Tammy Bernier, President and CEO. "That allowed us to apply what we know about dealing with the toughest debris and harshest environments to the wastewater environment." In many instances, this experience has greatly benefited wastewater treatment plants, allowing for the elimination of pre-screening due to the durability and strength designed into the Duperon® FlexRake®.
Duperon Corporation continues to design industry innovations, seeking to solve the problems that others accept as a side effect of preliminary treatment. Its most recent advancement in screening technology, the Duperon® Perforated Plate, utilizes Hydropression™ technology to clean a fixed-element perforated screen – eliminating clogging and blinding.
Duperon is the leader in preliminary liquids/solids separation technologies and provides simple solutions for coarse screening, fine screening, low flow screening, perforated screening, washing compacting, and conveying. Duperon technologies are designed and manufactured in Saginaw, Michigan.
