Louann Lerche, Manager of Human Resources for Duperon Corporation, has received her PHR and SHRM-CP certifications, encompassing a large body of knowledge applicable to everyday practice in Human Resources. Ms. Lerche has worked as Duperon Corporation's Manager of Human Resources since 2005.
Ms. Lerche received her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). The PHR certification demonstrates the "mastery of the technical and operational aspects of HR practices and U.S. laws and regulations", including: business management and strategy; workforce planning and development; human resource development; compensation and benefits; employee and labor relations; and risk management. Additionally, she has been certified by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), which examines applicants for the practical application of HR best practices in addition to theoretical knowledge.
"I'm excited to apply at Duperon what I've learned through the certification process," said Ms. Lerche. "Undergoing the certification process challenged me in many ways, and in the end broadened my awareness of overarching HR accountability and the variety of ways each can be applied throughout the company. Most people assume that HR is just about recruiting, hiring, and discipline – but it's so much more than that. This professional growth has been great for me, and it will positively impact Duperon as well," Ms. Lerche concluded.
