Saginaw, MI – On March 5, 2013, Duperon Corporation will join forces with the American Chemists’ Society, Dow Chemical, Covenant Healthcare, and Nexteer to make a difference for the children of mid-Michigan. The Saginaw Spirit Education Game Day event will reach approximately 5,000 school-aged children with educational experiments and experiences designed to engage attendees in the topics of clean water, electricity, personal health and fitness, and chemistry. The day is topped with an OHL hockey game featuring Saginaw’s own Spirit team in competition with the Plymouth Whalers.
“We are honored to be working in partnership with the American Chemists’ Society, Dow Chemical, Covenant Healthcare, and Nexteer. These organizations make huge differences for people in our community, as does the Saginaw Spirit team,” said Tammy Bernier, President/CEO of Duperon Corporation. “This is our third year participating with this talented group of professionals, and we’re really looking forward to the interaction with the children and young adults who will be attending.”
The Saginaw Spirit Education Game Day will provide students with the opportunity to explore experiments – and career paths – they may not have previously considered. This occasion gives Duperon Corporation a change to work on what they’ve committed to as a mission: Making a Global Difference. Duperon Corporation has chosen “The World’s Water” as their theme for the event, and is looking forward to sharing news about the planet’s most precious resource with the area’s children. “Last year was so much fun, and we were really impressed by the students’ eagerness to learn,” relayed Bernier. “We know that making a difference begins here at home, and there are many young people here who we can see contributing to that mission.”
