Megan Krieger, Duperon Corporation Senior Project Manager, has been awarded the 2014 New Professional of the Year award by the Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA). This honor is awarded for dedication to the MWEA while relatively new in the field.
Megan Krieger has been involved with Duperon Corporation since 2002, and has found that her passion for customer service aligns closely with Duperon's belief in an extraordinary experience for each customer. "My passion is for solving customer problems and making a difference for them on a daily basis," said Ms. Krieger. "I'm able to incorporate the feedback and concerns of each customer into our services and products."
As Senior Project Manager, she finds great fulfillment in these daily interactions with customers and in her involvement in industry organizations. Ms. Krieger is a member of the Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA) New Professional Committee, which provides a means of education and networking to those professionals new to the water and wastewater industry, a committee member of WEFMAX, which in 2014 hosted the national Member Association Exchange in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is very active in fundraising efforts for Water for People. In the past, Ms. Krieger has also been involved in the monthly outreach efforts of the Michigan Water Network.
"Although I've been involved in the industry for some time, it wasn't until a colleague recommended that I join and become involved in the MWEA that I really learned about the organization and all they do," said Ms. Krieger. "Being a member of MWEA has provided a wealth of knowledge and exposure to industry-related information. The professionals in this network are a tight-knit group with a passion for water, and spending time with them highlights the importance of this work in my life."
